At the nerve center of the Lower Colorado River Authority off Lake Austin Boulevard, giant real-time projections of river conditions and dam activity dominate a wall. Computer screens relay weather data from across Texas.
With the stroke of a computer key in the River Operations Center, water can be released from the lakes. And with the release comes hydroelectric generation.
